Managed Prebid for premium publishers

The header bidding behind Israel's largest news and media sites

Valuad runs the Prebid auction for publishers like ynet, mako, N12, Israel Hayom and Haaretz, connecting their inventory to Magnite, Microsoft, OpenX, Outbrain, Taboola and more than 20 other demand partners. We build it per site, run it with a dedicated AdOps team, and leave your Google Ad Manager setup intact.

Why you need header bidding

When only the ad server decides, most demand partners never get to price your impression. Header bidding asks all of them at once, before the ad server makes its call, so the price reflects what buyers will pay for this reader on this page.

  • Fits your ad server

Your ad units, GPT tags and direct campaigns stay as they are. Integration is one snippet per page template.

  • Fails safe

If the wrapper hasn't taken over within three seconds, your Google Ad Manager tags run as if we weren't there.

  • Refresh buyers accept

Slots refresh only after they have been viewable, and only while the tab is in front.

  • No empty slots

When Google Ad Manager returns nothing, the wrapper renders an unused Prebid bid or runs a fresh auction.

Works with the Google Ad Manager setup you already have

Prebid bids reach Google Ad Manager as key-values and compete with AdX, Open Bidding and your direct campaigns through line items we generate and maintain. Nothing you sell directly is displaced.

  • Price buckets set to the granularity your CPMs need
  • Bids converted to your currency and adjusted to net, so shekels, euros and dollars compete on one scale
  • Single-page apps and infinite scroll keep working, because the wrapper follows your own display and refresh calls

Built to stay light and fail safely

A header bidding wrapper sits in the path of your revenue, so it has to behave when things go wrong. Every site gets its own Prebid build with only the modules and bidders it needs.

  • A three-second fail-safe hands control back to Google Ad Manager if anything goes wrong
  • Timeouts tuned per site, anywhere from 500 to 5000 ms, based on how your readers' devices perform
  • Slow SSP user-sync frames are removed after five seconds so they can't keep your page busy

See every auction on your own pages

Add a debug flag to any page on your site and every slot shows what happened in its last auction. It is the same tool our AdOps team uses to check new placements before they go live.

  • A badge on every slot with its status, format, winning bidder and price
  • A control panel listing every ad unit, with refresh on demand and the Prebid event log
  • A test mode that pushes banner, native or video test ads through the real rendering path

How it works

  1. 1

    Scope and integrate

We map your sites, templates and ad server setup with your team. Integration is one snippet in the page head of each template.

  2. 2

    Build and connect demand

We build a Prebid setup per site and configure line items, bidders, timeouts, refresh rules and ads.txt.

  3. 3

Run it with a dedicated team

Our AdOps team watches bidder performance per site every day and adjusts the setup as partners and pages change.

Talk to an expert

Valuad have made the unexpected. They have achieved to make us believe in miracles. After doubling our ad revenues once, and then once again, and then higher and then keep on improving - we started to believe that nothing is impossible, and all it takes is some pros with extra drive. We are now addicted to these guys' work, and the numbers are fantastic.

Questions publishers ask

Does Valuad replace Google Ad Manager?

No. Valuad adds a Prebid auction in front of Google Ad Manager. Your ad server, direct campaigns and AdX stay where they are, and Prebid bids compete with them inside Google Ad Manager.

What happens if the Valuad script fails to load?

The snippet waits up to three seconds for the wrapper. If it hasn't taken over by then, the snippet releases Google Ad Manager and your ads load as they would without header bidding.

Do I need to change my ad tags?

No. The wrapper reads the slots you already define with the Google Publisher Tag, including slots created later by single-page apps or infinite scroll.

Which ad formats are supported?

Display, including multi-size and fluid slots, native, mobile interstitials, sticky units and outstream video, which is rolling out now.

Is Valuad a registered TCF vendor?

Yes. Valuad is registered with IAB Europe's Transparency and Consent Framework as vendor 1478, and consent is enforced through Prebid's TCF controls when a CMP is present.
